Job Description
Responsibilities include first level hardware and software debug and troubleshooting; hardware and software upgrades; assembly, repair and maintenance of SAS customer-deployed hardware. Includes building and configuring PCs for component and troubleshooting issues; fresh operating system load; Installing Intel and third party software, running a variety of manual or automated operations; making important distinctions between hardware and software related failures and documenting test results; pickup customer material for debug, repair, or upgrade. Process requests through SAS database; track and update customer requests in SRS system or via email, be able to lift 15-30lbs chassis and other similar hardware. Must have good verbal and written communication, good customer service skills, excellent multitasking ability. Must have good English communications including writing, listening and speaking.
Qualifications
Candidate must have experience in the following areas:
Familiarity with Windows and Android OS’s (Management, Security, Networking, Optimization, Automated installation) and very familiar with MS Office suit.
Experience in hardware assembly, build, configure, system test and knowledge on how to perform board level reworks and experience in installation BIOS and OS.
Knowledge of the processor and chipset architecture, as well as the PC architecture to root cause failures, Basic Input Output System (BIOS) and memory interfaces and/or technologies, strong hardware troubleshooting and debug skills.
A major plus would be working knowledge of Finetech rework equipment.
Ability to thrive and communicate in a highly collaborative environment with established teams in different countries.
